Since arriving in Droitwich nearly 5 yrs ago, we have always had our fish & chips delivered from Salt & Vinigar, generally with no problems & good food. I put above under 'Food Quality' as OK, because I couldn't put so, so. Our order today (#18677748) was dissapointing. My wife's tinned roe & mushy peas were very good, but then how can you go wrong with those items. My cod was delicious, nice steaky flakes of white fish. Tinned row, cod, mushy peas all nice & fresh & hot...however, the chips were, luke warm bordering on tepid, cdertainly not freshly cooked but looked as though they were left over from the afternoon session. I understand that chip shops are struggling with huge cost increases (oil, potatoes, energy etc). These increases have been passed onto the public, resulting in a normal British staple of a fish & chip supper, becoming as expensive as a restaurant visit, thus bringing on a fall of trade, & even closures. All the more reason that chip shop's are or should be duty bound to deliver hot fresh food, & not cheat the customer with sub-standard aspects of an order. Had we been given this in a restaurant, it would have been sent back, but as it was a delivery, we can do nothing. I am not accustomed to complaining, but I don't expect to pay for food, only for some of it to be so poor.

Not quite up to your usual standard. The saveloy was hardly warm and the chips didn't look or taste as fresh as other meals we've had delivered. A little disappointing.

Food and portion sizes are very good. Delivery was about half an hour which is really good. Value for money is also good as well.
